Samsung A35 Mobile Data is super slow after One UI 7.0 update

My phone got an OS update for One UI 7.0, post that mobile data barely works. 

• It is a Jio network sim, no issues before the update. 
• Both my mom and i have the same phone and we both started seeing the same issue (although we are in different locations).
• Tried explicitly selecting network operator,  as well as automatic (automatic worked before)
• Tried changing network mode to either 5G preferred,  or LTE preferred,  or LTE only. 

None of this has made a difference. Wifi works fine but the minute i have to step out it has become a big pain. The network is so so slow i cannot even book a cab or make upi payments. It is almost like having no internet access.  Very frustrated now. Please help.
