For both of my phones, Galaxy A04s and Galaxy A12, the phones detect usb-c connected external microphone and they work perfectly with the Samsung's own voice recorder app, but camera app does not recognize the external microphone and not available during the video recording. Same problem does not exist for Galaxy A25, but we need a fix for A04s and A12 models.

I don't know if it's the same issue you experience, but I'm having troubles using a DJI mic 2, connecting it directly via bluetooth to the phone, and using it as the audio source when recording a video in the samsung camera app. I experience this both on a Galaxy A54 as well as on A33 5G.
Could a new version of the camera app that work with external usb/bluetooth microphones (already existing on newer phones, it seems) be released for the other mentioned models too?

I've find a solution via chatgpt. It recommends to download app on Google play, called Open Camera. Now works fine. Here is its answer:
How to check in Open Camera:
Open the app.
Tap the gear icon (Settings) → Video Settings.
Scroll to Audio Source → Select External Mic (if present).
Start recording — the app will use your external mic if it's detected.

Hi Ameritza,
thank you for your reply. I am aware that this could be worked-around with third-party apps. I don't remember if I tried the one you mentioned, but they waren't as user-friendly as the samsung app, or had some issues like I couldn't switch lens or some features like that weren't available. And at the end it was easier for me to just record the video with the phone and the audio with the DJI mic separately and combine them in post production on the computer
