I did the Google security update in March and it changed my Play Store status from device certified to uncertified. I was previously using contactless payment but it says my device is insecure. I have spoken to Google and Samsung, as well as submitting an error report on this app, but I've got nowhere. Has anyone had this issue?

I was able to extract a FAC number, does that show the country of origin? IMEI 1 is 42 and IMEI 2 is 40.

You could find out the region by the csc code. Not sure on the imei sites. Didn't know you needed pay for it. Sorry.

I have read that you can tell by the numbers in the imei number.

Yes I saw that, thanks. It doesn't have number 42 on it though. I'll just bite the bullet and pay the fee, gives me piece of mind at least.

So I paid the fee but they apparently don't track country of origin, just country of purchase so that's a dead end. I have the model number, would that work? SM-A528B/DS
As I understand it the last two letters represent the country but I couldn't find that country online.
