Hi there, I finally found the solution !!
Open email
tap the 3 lines top left
tap the COG top right
tap your email address
scroll down to "email folders to sync" and tap that
toggle on any folders you want synced
I then restarted my phone and that fixed it. hope it works for you.

Me too. I've tried clearing data, clearing cache, uninstalling & reinstalling Samsung Mail...all it got me is now not only don't I get "sent" mail, now I an also unable to "reply all"! Argh! Maybe time to just go back to Gmail.

I've found this three times in the last week. Short emails are all in my sent folder, but mails I have taken longer to compose, say 5-10 minutes, seem to be received by the recipient but are not stored in my sent items (nor are they stuck in my outbox, drafts, recycled folders or any other created personal folders). It's most disconcerting as I just don't know if they have sent or not. One recipient confirmed they have received one of these mystery mails, but last night I spent a long time sending one into school on an important topic for my son's wellbeing and I've no idea if the Headmaster has received it. Leaves me with an anxiously uncertain feeling... (this is @btinternet.com mail for reference)

I ended up uninstalling the app completely & just doing Gmail. But I liked that mail app so much when it was functioning properly. Every once in a while I reinstall to see if the glitch is fixed, but when I tried it last month again, it did the same thing. I'm hoping enough postings about it & Samsung will get around to an update that fixes it again. I'm not a huge fan of Gmail but it will do for now...at least I get my Sent mail in my Sent folder!
