Email not showing in Sent items

Can anyone help. If I spend a while composing an email to send from my galaxy A52 phone, once I've sent it, it isn't showing in my Sent items which is really annoying when I have spent ages typing it. I can't find it anywhere so I have no guarantee it has been sent. It only happens when I spend a while composing an email. It isn't stuck in the outbox nor the drafts folder. On some occasions I have asked the recipient 'did you get my email' and they'll say yes so why can't I see it anywhere? Thanks

Hi there, I finally found the solution !!

Open email

tap the 3 lines top left

tap the COG top right

tap your email address

scroll down to "email folders to sync" and tap that

toggle on any folders you want synced

I then restarted my phone and that fixed it.  hope it works for you.

It shouldn't do that. Have you tried swiping downwards, when at the very top of your inbox to refresh your mail app. It might show up in there then?? Maybe you have an unstable network connection sometimes.
Which mail app are you using, by the way?

I've just tested my email app with sending an email. It's showing in the sent folder straight away on my Gmail email.

Thanks, tried swiping down on my sent items and it's showing the 2 emails I sent this morning but not the one I sent last night. I m just using the email app on my Galaxy, the red circle and white envelope icon and my email address is @btinternet. I spent a while typing an email this morning but that is showing in my sent items, maybe it is a dodgy connection like you suggest but recipients always seem to receive my email. I ve started automatically cc ing myself on all emails I send just so I get a copy of what I have sent!

I have not been able to see my sent emails since 3rd July 2023 and it's driving me crazy.

Me too. I've tried clearing data, clearing cache, uninstalling & reinstalling Samsung Mail...all it got me is now not only don't I get "sent" mail, now I an also unable to "reply all"! Argh! Maybe time to just go back to Gmail.

I've found this three times in the last week.  Short emails are all in my sent folder, but mails I have taken longer to compose, say 5-10 minutes, seem to be received by the recipient but are not stored in my sent items (nor are they stuck in my outbox, drafts, recycled folders or any other created personal folders).  It's most disconcerting as I just don't know if they have sent or not.  One recipient confirmed they have received one of these mystery mails, but last night I spent a long time sending one into school on an important topic for my son's wellbeing and I've no idea if the Headmaster has received it.  Leaves me with an anxiously uncertain feeling... (this is @btinternet.com mail for reference)

I have this problem. It's so frustrating. I have a small business and sent emails is sometimes crucial to recap on things. I think I need a different email app

I ended up uninstalling the app completely & just doing Gmail. But I liked that mail app so much when it was functioning properly. Every once in a while I reinstall to see if the glitch is fixed, but when I tried it last month again, it did the same thing. I'm hoping enough postings about it & Samsung will get around to an update that fixes it again. I'm not a huge fan of Gmail but it will do for now...at least I get my Sent mail in my Sent folder!
