I have a Samsung A40 and I want to use my hotspot to connect to an older nintendo console. Because it is an older device, I have to switch the band to 2.4gHz but my hotspot won't turn on after I have selected the 2.4gHz option. It tries to turn on but then switches off a second later.
The hotspot works fine when 5gHz is selected, the problem arises when I switch to 2.4gHz.
I have tried resetting network settings but this does not seem to help. Does anyone have any solutions for this?

I have the same exactly issue. It worked flawlessly before a recent update, but now it seems like they blocked the possibility to make a 2.4ghz hotspot.
Frankly it is stupid and ridiculous.
