@Ray42 check all permissions again please.
And you could try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@Ray42: Please try heading to Settings > Battery > Battery protection, and check to see if 'Adaptive' is selected. This setting automatically switches to the 'Maximum' battery protection setting (which stops at 80% charge) while you're asleep, with sleep time estimated base don your phone usage patterns. If this option is selected, please tap on 'Basic'.
If this isn't applicable, please head to Settings > Modes and Routines, and check to see if any routines are set up which might activate Battery protection under certain conditions. Let me know if this helps.
