Hi there, @Chris140. I've had a look into this for you and unfortunately the Galaxy A70 does not support APTX. Apologies for any disappointment this may cause you.

Andrew,

This really doesn't make sense.

The A70 Uses the Qualcomm 675 which supports APTX (LL, HD, and Adaptive)

@Chris140: I checked the specs on the Samsung website and the supported models on the APTX support page, and wasn't able to see anything to suggest the A70 is supported (although the APTX page seemed like it hadn't been updated in a while as it only went up to the Galaxy S9 range)

Andrew,

Content on the Samsung website doesn't make sense. APTX is supported on the Qualcomm 675 and by Android 9. (Pie.)

So please just escalate this if you need to.

To the rest of the community, is there anyone which is using the A70 and APTX. If your using APTX, which version (Low Latency, HD, Adaptive, etc.)

Thanks,

Chris

Apologies, I was referring to samsung.com (https://www.samsung.com/uk/smartphones/galaxy-a70/SM-A705FZBUBTU/#specs)

The APTX website was https://www.aptx.com/ - as mentioned, they do mention Samsung, but the A70 isn't listed specifically so it was difficult to be sure.

I found another thread where other community members have discussed the missing feature, which you can check out below.

Andrew,

The Samsung A70 page makes no reference to LDAC either so it is not to be trusted;

The APTX page is, as you acknowledge, way out of date;

The Community forum page you mention only confirms what I am saying: Why does the A70 not support APTX if it is using the Qualcomm 675 and Android 9?

Please escalate

Andrew,

I want an answer to this. Why is there no APTX support when the hardware and software should support it.

Andrew,

This problem is also happening on the Note 9 which uses the Qualcomm 845 which supports APTX.

I want an answer. Why do both the A70 and Note 9 not support APTX when they should.

Just answer the simple question.
