Hello,

After update with 1 October security patch. Phone doesn't see mobile networks anymore. I tried restart, safe modes, powering off - didn't help. Other things: On start it asks for sim pin code, it recognizes if i enter wrong pin.

I can't switch to manual network operator, un-toggling "Select automatically network operator" never finishes, it stays in state searching for networks....

When i try to change Network mode -> it's just ignored, it has value LTE/3G/2G (auto connect), and i can't change it.

Same sim card works fine with another phone A12. A52s was also working fine before update, and there were no issues during update, it started normally, except can't find network.

Latest system update (2024-02-11) still does not fix the issue for me. A local phone shop confirmed the network cable connecting sim card to the motherboard is shorted. Only solution they offered was to replace the whole board. Frustrating that Samsung straight up killed this phone!

Sadly this doesn't work as the problem seems to be hardware-related. Thanks anyways.

Might be a little late but stating it for others too. I got the humidity error and tried all steps and tricks before the battery died. I went to local shop and bought a new battery (old one was poor) and a charging module. Installed it and it charged fine but no service. Went back to the shop and they arranged for another module from a different lot as it might be an issue with the specific OEM lot. I installed it but issue remained. Went back again and this time the technician was asked to speak to me. He kept the original faulty module. One day later the phone was ready and working. What he did was take the original module and replace the faulty charging port taken from a new module. He then explained me that this is simply because of the version (SN/PN etc) on the charging module. It has to be the same or else the phone won’t allow service. Samsung repair either has the correct version module or they simply reprogram the new modules version, hence on non Samsung repair shops or suppliers this can happen. I must say I’m astonished and nauseated that Samsung support which I contacted before could or would not explain this instead of going through asking me to follow a lot of steps (trial and error) and not even when I send them a bug report they were able to assist. So, if this happens to you just make sure that the version on the charging modules ( I believe it’s either K1 or K2) are the same or ask the repair shop to replace only the charging port on the same module.

Hi, that’s happened to me yesterday, I am technician in a phone shop and yesterday a cliente brought the A52s 5g with water issue on screen and not charging. I did replace the sub-board with a different and since then “no service” so that can be one solution but what about people who just lost the signal without replacing any part???

It happened to quite a few people after Samsungs January security update. In my modest opinion that could happen if the update/patch alters some SW on the network chip to K2 and the charger port related SW stays at K1 version or vice-versa. Hence the first try would be to replace the charging module for a K2 or the network chip (or whole board) back to K1. That would be a question to Samsung engineers what they actually changed on the update.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. On A52. System updated at 9pm 17th March and now no network. Last calls made and received at 8.40pm and all good. Since update nothing. Spoke to Samsung and told repair would be chargeable. I have screen shots to prove phone was functional before update but no they wouldn't help. Obviously a known issue. I have 8 months of payments to go on a phone they're update has broken.
