I have an A20e, I bought it in March 2020. For about 3-4 weeks it has stopped charging by fast charge, never thought anything of it until I charged it last night and when I removed the charge cable, I got a small electric shock and the charge port smelt of burning.
I have tried cleaning the charge port with rubbing alcohol but it still burns. I assume there is an issue with the charge port.
I have tried to book a repair but it says that they don't repair this model, I know that the phones have 24 month warranty so will they fix it? If so, how do I contact them, obvs when Christmas is over. My phone charge isn't going to last 3 days.

Hello
I would like to thank everyone for the replies and support I have received with my issue. Also a thank you to Samsung for being extremely helpful and understanding.
I have a small confession to make. The issue I found was in the plug. It was a genuine Samsung USB charger plug that I have been using for a while and it never occurred to me to check this, it was not mentioned either when going through the steps of the troubleshooting. To be honest I didn't even think of checking the plug. Everything that I read or found was geared toward the cables or the charging port. So I'm am here to say that check your plug too. I don't know what made me check mine but it was really very hot. Thankfully, I had another plug that was in my phones box, and that has resolved my charging issue. It has even started fast charging again.
So please forgive me for being a bit of a dunce and hopefully my solution may help someone else.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried different cables, have 3 Samsung USB c, and it happens with all, even tried with power bank, so I think it's more likely the phone rather than the cables.

I would suggest to approach a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre and they'll assess the phone to clarify if they can help under the Limited 2 Year Manufacturing Warranty.
I wish you all the best with this. @DollyBunny
