Hi everyone,
I’ve been using my Samsung Galaxy A15 (Android 14, One UI 6.0) for a few months without any issues. On June 5, 2025, I received and installed the official Android 15 + One UI 7.0 update. The update installed successfully, and everything seemed perfect at first.
However, starting from June 10, I noticed a serious charging issue:
Fast charging is unreliable – It charges only for a short time (7–8%) and then stops.
If I disable fast charging, the phone doesn’t charge at all.
I’m using the official SamsunS Super Fast Charger and cable.
I’ve tried restarting the phone, cleaning the USB-C port, testing different chargers – the issue remains.
Battery usage and charging history show inconsistencies.
Charging in Safe Mode doesn’t fix it either.
This problem started only after the Android 15 / One UI 7.0 update. There were no such issues before.
Please let me know if anyone else is facing this or if Samsung is aware of this bug. A patch fix or official statement would be really helpful. I’m happy to provide more info if needed.
Thanks.

Are the cable and plug both official, or at least from a known partner? Have you attempted other chargers that are official?
Go to the Samsung Members app > Support > Diagnostics > Pass Ok?
This isnt a known issue with the ui7 update so I doubt it was that IMO. things are always as they seem, I guess.

I called Samsung and they confirmed the issue was due to the update which has had a few bugs.
They told me the engineers are working on a new update but she couldnt tell me the date and for me to check for software updates on the phone as once it arrives it will fix the issue!

Thanks for sharing- as I said, IMO ( in my opinion) I have doubts it being the update itself. Saying this- Odd they havent made a public post if this is a work in progress issue 🤔 or if it was the update- all users would experience it not a few *referring back to the 5a issue a while back which was fixed

Like i said, my phone was super fast charging without any issues prior to the update. My issues regarding charging only happened after the update.
You can try and call Samsung yourself and see if they tell you the same information or maybe i just got fobbed off my the person on the phone who confirmed Samsung was aware of these issues.

Hello, my phone is also a Galaxy A15 and after updating to Android 15 and One UI 7, I have a problem with overheating and rapid discharge of the battery when not in use and when in use, and it gets very hot. What is the solution? Should we wait for a fix update? Please someone help.

Me too with an A53.
One solution about battery drain shall be to update Samsung Keyboard. Since this company decided to mess with its customers and require an account to UPDATE their buggy bloatware and now this charging issue - I am registering a return with the dealer.
Sorry not even Google requires an account to update the base apps and Google 2FA can be done with Authenticator the phone# is not strictly required.
