Charging Issue After Android 15 / One UI 7.0 Update on Galaxy A15

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Samsung Galaxy A15 (Android 14, One UI 6.0) for a few months without any issues. On June 5, 2025, I received and installed the official Android 15 + One UI 7.0 update. The update installed successfully, and everything seemed perfect at first.

However, starting from June 10, I noticed a serious charging issue:

• Fast charging is unreliable – It charges only for a short time (7–8%) and then stops.

• If I disable fast charging, the phone doesn’t charge at all.

• I’m using the official SamsunS Super Fast Charger and cable.

• I’ve tried restarting the phone, cleaning the USB-C port, testing different chargers – the issue remains.

• Battery usage and charging history show inconsistencies.

• Charging in Safe Mode doesn’t fix it either.

This problem started only after the Android 15 / One UI 7.0 update. There were no such issues before.

Please let me know if anyone else is facing this or if Samsung is aware of this bug. A patch fix or official statement would be really helpful. I’m happy to provide more info if needed.

A53 user and this has to be the worst update ever. Definitely a huge impact on battery life and charging.

Just an update on this topic, Samsung has released a new patch today in the UK, which has now fixed my charging issue. My phone no longer tells me i have moisture or dirty on my charging port, and all my plugs and cables that i was using before all now work, and i can super fast charge my phone. So it was indeed the software update that caused this whole issue. I'm glad Samsung managed to get a patch out to fix this issue however its taken them 17 days for a fix, which was frustrating!

My tab 8 plus suddenly stopped charging and is now completely dead. There's no damage, I use a Samsung charger and lead and suspect it's software related. Unfortunately it now won't switch on. Annoyed doest even cover it
