Hi everyone,
I’ve been using my Samsung Galaxy A15 (Android 14, One UI 6.0) for a few months without any issues. On June 5, 2025, I received and installed the official Android 15 + One UI 7.0 update. The update installed successfully, and everything seemed perfect at first.
However, starting from June 10, I noticed a serious charging issue:
Fast charging is unreliable – It charges only for a short time (7–8%) and then stops.
If I disable fast charging, the phone doesn’t charge at all.
I’m using the official SamsunS Super Fast Charger and cable.
I’ve tried restarting the phone, cleaning the USB-C port, testing different chargers – the issue remains.
Battery usage and charging history show inconsistencies.
Charging in Safe Mode doesn’t fix it either.
This problem started only after the Android 15 / One UI 7.0 update. There were no such issues before.
Please let me know if anyone else is facing this or if Samsung is aware of this bug. A patch fix or official statement would be really helpful. I’m happy to provide more info if needed.
Thanks.

Yesterday I updated my Galaxy A33 to Android 15. Now the charging via USB port on my Computer doesn't work anymore.
I assume that my error is related to the other charging problems. The same cable works to charge my phone via a wall plug. Also viewing of files works on the computer but it does not charge properly. It starts to charge and then stops after a few seconds. When the screen is turned off, it shows a charging symbol (but only at the beginning it also shows the remaining time to charge), but it doesn't seem to actually charge.
Also, the device is not detected in Android Studio as an available device.
Update: While typing this message I wanted to again confirm that it doesn't show the device in Android Studio. So I started the application again and the device is detected now. Also charging seems to work (for now). After unplugging and re-plugging it still is detected and does charge. Something that has changed is that in the mean time I charged my phone a bit via the wall charger. What a weird problem.
Update 2:
It seems like the phone only charges on the Computer if file access is allowed. I think this is not really useful. Sometimes the request is shown after I want to open the phone content on the computer. But it seems like it does not remember the device as I am asked again for permission for file access after just replugging (immediatly after I have confirmed it). This is also very weird as it in the past it could remember the device.

I had the same problem, I had the s24 ultra installed the update and then a week later it wouldn't charge at all, I assumed it was because it was 2 years old and the charging port was faulty so I upgraded to the s25 ultra. I had the phone a few days and the update software came up so I did. I went away to Paris and had issues with charging and thought it might just be an issue with travel adaptor.... until it wouldn't charge at home, bought a new samasung official charger and cable and had the same issues except it wouldn't acknowledge the charger. I took it back in store and it wouldn't charge for them. They swapped it immediately for a brand new one and advised not to install the update. Even with the new phone it doesn't super fast charge but it does fast charge

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G user.
After update to One UI 7.0 my phone can no longer be charged with any USB-A to USB-C cable nor any USB-A charger.
Before update my charger (18W Mi MDY-10-EF from previous Xiaomi phone, USB-A output) worked just fine, charged at 9V, charging time was usually about 2h.
After the update when I connected it tk the same charger got "Checking charger connection" message and it charged only at basic 5V / 0.5A with veeeeery long charging times.
I checked with 3 other cables and two other chargers (all my chargers are older USB-A) - the same.
I suspected dirty or damaged USB-C charging port in my M34. I cleaned it, no change.
But when I connected it to my Powerbank (it has USB-C output) with USB-C to USB-C cable - it charges fine! So the phone's charging port seems to be good.
Connected it again to the same Powerbank with good USB-A 2 USB-C cable - again slow charging and "Checking connection" message.
Seems for me that after the update I cant use any USB-A charger anymore. I'm forced to buy USB-C one. Before update all my chargers (older 5V/3A USB-A Samsung, newer 18W/9V fast charging USB-A Xiaomi) worked fine. Innediately after the update they work no more. They charge my wife's phone fine, as slways.
Is there any way to revert to One UI 6.0 other than resetting the phone to factory setting ?
