Charging Issue After Android 15 / One UI 7.0 Update on Galaxy A15

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Samsung Galaxy A15 (Android 14, One UI 6.0) for a few months without any issues. On June 5, 2025, I received and installed the official Android 15 + One UI 7.0 update. The update installed successfully, and everything seemed perfect at first.

However, starting from June 10, I noticed a serious charging issue:

• Fast charging is unreliable – It charges only for a short time (7–8%) and then stops.

• If I disable fast charging, the phone doesn’t charge at all.

• I’m using the official SamsunS Super Fast Charger and cable.

• I’ve tried restarting the phone, cleaning the USB-C port, testing different chargers – the issue remains.

• Battery usage and charging history show inconsistencies.

• Charging in Safe Mode doesn’t fix it either.

This problem started only after the Android 15 / One UI 7.0 update. There were no such issues before.

Please let me know if anyone else is facing this or if Samsung is aware of this bug. A patch fix or official statement would be really helpful. I’m happy to provide more info if needed.

I too have a the battery drain issue. Makes the phone not fit for purpose.

Leaving the phone untouched on my desk for 5 hours results in the battery going from 79% to 20%. Just sitting still on a table the phone is notably warm. Great for a winter hand warmer but silly as a smart phone

In the past my A15 G6 with its huge battery would run for 2 to 3 DAYS without needing charging. 1/4 days run time when not even being used is not a real product.

Oh dear.  The internet is flooded with everyone experiencing the same issue without any work around. 

Stop blaming the user and blame the ONE THING we all have in common - charging stopped working since the update.

I have already had to have my phone repaired since the update, it damaged the sub and needed to be replaced.

Now my tablet has updated and will no longer charge, and you can't wireless charge a tablet.

This is a joke and android samsung need to resolve this. I can't take time out to go and get the tablet fixed now.

i connected mine to the pc, i got a warning message "the usb cant supply enough power to the connected device" and my pc died, completely froze, had to force the shutdown and restart it 6 times until it worked again, thought it died on me, dont know what the issue is, but seems the phone consumes an insane amount of power

Mi Samsung A15 también sufrió el mismo problema, cargaba super bien y activaba la carga rápida sin problemas y lo actualice a one ui 7.0 y duro dos días cargando bien y de repente dejo de activar la carga rápida y también pensé que era el puerto de carga lo limpie y nada, regrese la actualización a one ui 6.1 y ahora me marcaba en la pantalla el triángulo amarillo y decía que se cargaría en 9 horas pero se me hacía raro porque mi PC lo reconocía perfectamente entonces lo volví a actualizar y regreso la carga normal pero sin activar la carga rápida, definitivamente si es problema de software y Samsung lo tiene que corregir ya que somos muchos los usuarios afectados

Translation: My Samsung A15 also suffered the same problem, it charged super well and activated fast charging without problems and I updated it to one ui 7.0 and it lasted two days charging well and suddenly it stopped activating fast charging and I also thought it was the charging port I cleaned it and nothing, I returned the update to one ui 6.1 and now the yellow triangle was showing on the screen and it said it would charge in 9 hours but it seemed strange to me because my PC recognized it perfectly so I updated it again and normal charging returned but without activating fast charging, definitely it is a software problem and Samsung has to fix it since there are many of us affected users
