Naively when I purchased my M70A (43" and 32") for working from home, I assumed I could occasionally watch movies whilst working in split screen mode, given the Samsung TV feature.
However, it treats each input in isolation.
Unless anyone else knows a workaround, a cool feature would be to at least split the screen with Smart TV on one side and then the USB C or HDMI on the other side.

Hello
The PIP (Picture in Picture) function separates the screen into two
parts (one source).
The PBP (Picture by Picture) function separates the screen in half
displaying output from two different source devices simultaneously on
the left and right sides of the screen.
As to date, none of Smart Monitor models support PIP or PBP yet. You may check other models with these features under Key Features tab:
https://displaysolutions.samsung.com/monitor/high-resolution
Thanks.
