Hi comrades,
I need someone's help about the issue with the Samsung Book S keyboard backlight.
When I first set up the laptop, the keyboard backlight worked albeit weakly. I was able to access Input in the Samsung Settings App on the Book S, and adjust the amount of backlight plus a pop-up would indicate the level of illumination of the backlight.
I also had the non-functioning option to keep the backlight on permanently - that never worked!
I was given advice to cover the light sensor, in order to keep the backlight on. This worked. Though Samsung warned against doing this.
The next time I used the Book S, the backlight had stopped working completely, and the Input option in the Samsung Settings had disappeared. So it's lights out permanently!!
I think by covering the light sensor, I messed the whole keyboard backlight up for the system. Of course, I removed the cover over the sensor immediately.
Now I'm waiting for a driver or update to install the get back to where I started. Either this or a total factory reset.
Does anyone have a functioning Samsung Book S who could help me out with this?
All and any suggestions are welcome.
Thank you so much in advance.
