OSD for 32" Odyssey OLED G8 Not responding

Hello Everyone,

I just purchased an 32" Odyssey OLED G8 UHD Gaming Monitor (Model Num: LS32DG802SEXXY) [the 2024 flat screen version] and although impressed with the Monitor I have had a number of annoying issues with it. Sometimes the screen would randomly go black for a second (found out that this was solved by making sure adaptive sync was on in monitor and in windows/Nvidia Control Panel). But the most annoying this is that the - Remote or OSD (suspect my OSD) stops working.

After Powering on the monitor I can display the home page, change input, change brightness etc. Then after making even the smallest change or just exiting the OSD. I cannot display it again.

The monitor doesn't respond to the remote (except the Power Button) which shuts down the monitor.

[Given this, and that i can navigate the OSD with the remote initially, I suspect it is NOT the remote]

When the OSD is not response on the remote, I try and display the OSD using the crappy joystick thingy on the back of the monitor. When I do, the OSD does not seem to work. Sometimes the audio volume comes up.. but that is about it. Again I have to Power off  the monitor and then restart for it to become responsive.

Has anyone else had issues with the OSD crashing and not displaying?

Hi Everyone,

I did another post yesterday about a problem I was experiencing.

But on top of that my new 32" Odyssey OLED G8 UHD Gaming Monitor (Model Num: LS32DG802SEXXY) [the 2024 flat screen version] screen is going Black randomly and lasts for about 1 or 2 seconds, before returning to normal. I thought that I had fixed the issue by making sure my NVIDIA control panel was set for Gsync for Full/Screen and Windows and Game Settings as Adaptive-Sync as On. I have a RTX 4080 Super and using Game Ready Driver 560.94.

I have seen some other posts of this issue with other Samsung monitors and people say that it is a faulty motherboard.

Anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

Tente o novo firmware 1004 que saiu ontem

Aqui uso outra opção sem ser o adaptive-sync, não lembro o nome de cabeça.

Try the new firmware 1004 that came out yesterday

Here I use another option other than adaptive-sync, I can't remember the name.

Thank you for the reply. I am currently using the latest firmware 1004.

I have more detail about the OSD issue. After it is displayed for the first time, when I try to display the OSD again via the remote it does not work. However if I use the joystick at the back of the monitor I can get it to be displayed. The problem is then I can't exit the OSD and it will not automatically close either. The Monitor does not respond to remote at that point other than turning it off then on again.

So basically after I display the OSD for the first time the monitor stops responding to the remote, and if I go via the joystick at the back to display the OSD I cannot close it. Very buggy software.

As for the black screen problem. I have had the monitor freeze up on a black screen and the only option was to turn it off/on again. Samsung support were not that helpful other than to take it to repair (this is only my third day using the monitor and problems happened after connecting it for the first day).
