Short story:
Looked it up online and is astounding the amount of people that have been affected from the old VA G9, then the VA mini led G9 neo and now the OLED G9.
Other brands also use the samsung panel, but they dont get this issue. Personally, i think it's a defect at the chasis level that breaks the panel due to thermal expansion/contraction, chasis that has been recycled since the old G9's.
If you want to play roulette, go for it, but be sure that the warranty is meaningless and unless you have 700-1200 USDs as literal disposable income, you may end up with quite a bitter taste in your mouth.
You can see my same issue going to the 49" Odyssey QD-OLED G9 (G91SD) go to ratings, select 1 star and search for "luv3Shop" 's review.
Oh, and btw seems they denied my review where i bought it.
Here you can see the before and after:
And here you can see security camera footage with the white crack appearing 1-2 seconds after the loud "CRACK" (camera was on nightvision, basically we can see how the reflection in the glass changes with the crack in the same spot where later the damage is clearly shown with the screen on in the above picture):

Thanks, I appreciate the heads up. I was about to buy one of these this week. This has definitely put a halt to my purchase. It's a shame, the specs look great.

Yeah, it's really a shame since the picture was awesome for the 6 days it lasted. But seems that other brands are using the same panel, but without the quality issues. I got recommended the MPG 491CQP if you want to give it a try.
Personally, i'll stay with my 2x 24 inches and I'm considering getting a VR headset as virtual monitors, now i'm torn between the Quest 3 or wait the Beyond 2.
About consummer support, the issue got denied again at consumer bureau (here it doesnt have enforcing capabilities), so now I'm making a compilation of my evidence and internet previous cases and will ask the local CEO once before going to small claims/sharing my issue "more publicly".
