Recently bought a Q800C soundbar partly to improve my TV sound but primarily for use with my Audio-Tecknica LP60XBT Bluetooth record player.
However the Q800C refuses to connect to this device. When pairing the Record players bluetooth name, AT-TT, appears briefly in the soundbar display and appears in SmartThings but no sound comes out and the record player shows that it's not connected. If I click the "sound from" box in smart things the LP60XBT does not appear in the list of connectable devices.
I've tried multiple times, I've reset both the sound bar and the LP60XBT.
I've had the LP60XBT Record player bluetooth connected to a Sardine speaker, Bose headphones, Skullcandy headphones and Amazon echo without any problems. It's just the Q800c soundbar that refuses to connect.
The soundbar firmware is up to date according to Smart Things.
Any suggestions please?

I assume that's the codec which the turntable specs says.........
"Qualcomm® aptX™ Adaptive audio, Qualcomm® aptX™ audio, SBC"
Tried a reset to ensute the soundbar isn't paired with anything else, no help

Did you have any luck pairing your turntable? I am having the same problem. Want to throw the soundbar out the window!!!

Nope.
im afraid I gave up in the end.
i bought a small Bluetooth transmitter with connects to the line out of the turntable, then connects via Bluetooth to my Samsung soundbar.
really pisxxx that this doesn’t work on such an expensive speaker.

Thanks for replying Lochnessme. I might do the same. Save my sanity. Can you share which Bluetooth transmitter you got? I don't want to have the same ***** problem trying to connect.

Just a cheap £20 thing I bought off Amazon.
annoying even more than my soundbar connects to this cheap little box but can’t connect to a £100 record deck 🤬

Hi Lochnessme and rebeccabrouse,
I'm getting the same issue as you guys. It is unbelievable that BT pairing doesn't work between such recent audio devices. I tried reseting the soundbar, updating soundbar's lastest firemware, nothing is happening. I was able to connect the turntable to a Marshall Kilburn II without any problem though, so i assume the soundbar is the problem.
It must be a BT protocol issue and if that is, an update from Samsung may probably solve everything no?
I don't want to buy some cheap BT receiver to fix this...
Is there a way we can help from Samsung technical support?
Thank you
