I bought a new Samsung soundbar to add to my Samsung TV. I have it set up through the optical cable. I have the universal remote option and optical output selected. The soundbar works great, but it is slow to respond to my tv remote. I have to press it multiple times to get the volume to move one or two notches. Sometimes it won’t respond at all. I tried going right up to the soundbar and pressing at several angles to see if the signal wasn’t getting through. I have a Philips universal remote that I programmed and is working fine for both the tv and the soundbar. I would rather use the Samsung remote however so I don’t have to switch the source (tv/aux) back and forth. I also tried a Samsung remote from a tv I just bought a couple weeks ago. I had the same issue with that one. Any ideas?
