My Q700A soundbar has multiple issues. It has ZERO updates available.

If I'm listening to Spotify on my S23U, using the "wifi" option on Spotify, after a few minutes it will disconnect.

If I'm watching TV and have the volume above OR below '19' the sound are will automatically return the volume back to 19.

Only the volume buttons work on the actual soundbar. I no longer have the remote and operate the bar using the Smart things app. I'm literally contemplating throwing it into traffic. I'm so done with Samsung. Samsung hasn't returned my inquiries about why over 2 THOUSAND plus points were just erased off of my account with no warning or heads up. I have used Samsung products only for almost 10 years religiously. It'd be nice to hear from someone for once.

This sounds like an odd auto-volume setting, and there are a couple of things that could be going wrong:

  • Auto Volume Adjustment: Some soundbars have auto volume features (e.g., Adaptive Volume or Auto Leveling) to balance out the sound. These could be overriding your volume setting.

    • Try disabling any auto volume settings in SmartThings or within the soundbar's settings (if accessible through the app).

  • Firmware Bug: It’s possible a firmware issue is causing this weird behavior, even if your soundbar shows no available updates. Have you tried resetting the soundbar to factory settings? You can do this through the app or by holding the reset button (check the user manual). This might clear any glitches.
