Hey, I have the Q990D for a month now, the soundbar keeps automatically increasing volume every few minutes.
This happens with no matter which source I use, TV via eARC, TV via Wifi, smartphone via Wifi.
This happened on Firmware version 1015.3, and also on firmware version 1016.0.
I had the soundbar replaced in the store, but the new soundbar shows the exact same issues.
Now i found online several possible root causes, one of them being another remote control. However this option is turned off in SmartThings and I removed all batteries from all my remote controls.
Also i found out it seems to be stuck on Shop6 out of the box with both soundbars I had. On the first soundbar followed online instructions to turn it off:
- press and hold - on the soundbar until SHOP# appears
- navigate with the remote to SHOP4 and press and hold + to select it.
- repeat above steps but navigate with the remote to SHOP OFF
However with the first soundbar i got stuck on SHOP4 and the buttons on top of the soundbar did not work anymore so this is not a step I want to risk, especially with the store owner blaming me for destroying the soundbar by troubleshooting myself.
I am in contact with samsung via whatsapp and this issue is escalated for 20 days now, but still no solution. Does anybody have experienced this and knows a solution?

"So I have to confess it's been a few app updates since I've done full tests.
Just repeated a test per setting and you're right. It's the active voice amplifier setting and disabling it does make it stop as of this app 6.1.1 version and fw 1016.0 / 105 at least.
It's really hard to capture a video but it's like 4clicks of volume that then quiets down after about 5-10 seconds when the noise is gone. It's very susceptible to high pitched noises
Thanks for the push to retest. Hope it helps someone else who feels like they are losing their mind"

Thanks for the reply johnz237, i did find this post on Reddit before, but it is not my case. I tried every setting on and off, doesn't help with the issue. See screenshot for my settings right now.

Update:
Since yesterday (no firmware update) nothing changed in settings either, the soundbar started to work normally for the first time. Solution is unknown to me.
