HELP!

Always used LG and recently switched to Samsung, things are not going well

I can only get sound to play on my new soundbar and TV when using Bluetooth and also in “Standard” mode on the soundbar.

Q-Symphony does not work in any combination, which is very disappointing.

Nothing is connected to the TV except the soundbar. Plugged into eARC labeled ports on both soundbar and TV.

I downloaded the latest firmware via USB and attempted to update but the soundbar display read “latest version”

I swapped HDMIs to a higher quality brand rated for eARC and no difference

I took an older AppleTV box from another TV and the speaker worked (via HDMI) in “Standard” mode only but had VERY muffled voices (basically inaudible) when selecting “Surround, Game, or any other modes”

I thought sticking to one brand would be seamless and that the Q-Symphony was a cool feature.

What should I try next?

I should note:

Voice Enhance is ON

I’ve turned up the Center Channel speaker volume to max. NO CHANGE

I'm not sure if it would be the same in your case, but on my q990c soundbar, if you press on and hold the 'up' arrow on the remote's D-ring, it will eventually show 'ID Set' in the soundbar's display, which, as I understand it, makes it compatible with other Samsung devices such as a TV. I can't vouch for its effectiveness, as my TV isn't a Samsung.

Thank you for the reply! I just tried this and it displayed “ID SET” but still no change.

Well it might be something to do with the firmware. The latest firmware on my soundbar caused a drop in punch and clarity, which I've posted about on a separate thread. I always find 'adaptive' mode gives me the clearest sound, but I suppose it's down to individual taste. I hope you get it sorted soon.
