Hello there

I have the HW-Q990B soundbar and I was trying to do a calibration of the speakers using the Smart Things app by using the Channel Level menu in the Device Setting.

The Channel Level menu is quite good, you can adjust the volume for each pair of speakers.

Now my problem is that the hearing on my left ear is worse than the right ear. So I could use a facility to either adjust the volume on each speaker individually or  to have a Balance button to use when adjusting each pair of speakers.

Does anyone know about a way of doing this or an app that does that?

Thanks in advance

@Viorelgabico: If you press the CH LEVEL button on the remote, you can adjust the volume for each speaker. Simply tap the CH LEVEL button to access each speaker e.g. Centre Level, Side Level, Wide Level etc, tapping the button once to switch between speakers, and use the up/down button to adjust the volume. For clarification, please refer to page 8 of the user manual via the link below.

Hello AndrewL

Thank you for your swift reply.

I believe I didn't make myself very clear. The issue I have is that I can't adjust different levels for left and right. I need a higher volume in my left ear. So basically the app adjusts the volume of the speakers in pairs rather than individual speakers.

They are not separated in left and right.

Only the subwoofer speaker is single. All other speakers are twin, one for left and one for right.

And that's what I was looking for, to adjust the left and right sides separately.

Thanks again!

@Viorelgabico: Apologies for the confusion. I was under the impression that the individual speaker volumes could be adjusted via the CH LEVEL button. If this isn't the case, then you could try adjusting the position of the speakers in your viewing environment to see if you're able to find a balance that suits you. Alternatively, check the sound settings on your TV to see if the relevant volume adjustments can be made from here.

I've also been struggling to find something that allows me to send sound, and adjust levels to each speaker? There must be something.. how does Samsung tune each speaker? Thanks.

I am also really missing the possibility to calibrate to volume levels for each loudspeaker. Our rooms are definitely not identical or symmetrical.

Thanks Andrew. As a moderator, would you know any way to communicate this issue to Samsung? Surely they have a way to control each of the speakers. Thanks.
