When using the K650 sound bar and two R1 Wireless speakers in surround sound mode over wifi with the latest firmware, The quailty of the sound K650 drops, sounds very muddy. As soon as you use the sound bar on it own, the sound bar improves. this is happening for a quite a few users.
can you help.

If i select PCM as audio format, channels are a mess when i'm playing Frauhoffer dolby test file from the tv.
Sure it sounds loud, but it's not a real surround.
No update yet Robbie.

Hi all
I am sure this has been mentioned many times but PCM multi channel will not get passed through the TV to the sound bar. Only 2 channel PCM can. You must use bitstream. Also the K650 does not accept multi channel PCM. Its in the specs and I have double checked this by out putting PCM directly into the soundbar via Hdmi.

Hi
The only way I have been able to get full channel separation is by having hdmi to bitstream and then audio format as dolby digital. I then set my audio input devices such as my ps4 and kodi to pass through all audio via bitstream. My kids are watching the TV at the moment but I will run a 5.1 test shortly and post about any changes. There have been no updates though so I'm not expecting any change.

If you are outputting audio via hdmi your hdmi output has to be set to bitstream. Audio format can be set to PCM.
If you are outputting audio from a bluray player you want to select PCM for greater compatibilty with av receivers.
It depends on the source.
