Do new UHD TVs still work with traditional Samsung remotes?

Hi,

I'm considering a new UHD TV, but to be honest, I'm not impressed by the UX of the new One remote (in particular, I miss the color buttons for HbbTV and the number pad). So I was thinking about buying a remote for a 2018 Samsung FHD TV like this one:

to use it instead of or alonside with the One remote. Will it work? Do the new UHD TVs still have an IR receiver at all?

Hi @michal-m. Some TV's come with the Smart remote and the standard one too. Tell me which model number you're interested in, and I can take a look.

Hi @CarlH, thanks for getting back to me. One model I'm looking at is QE55Q65. If there are both remotes in the box, even better. But if there is only the Smart remote, can I still buy a regular remote and will it work?

Thanks for that info. Can you also confirm where you are located?

I'm located in Czech republic. One retailer here says the product number of this TV is "QE55Q65RATXXH" (https://www.alza.cz/EN/55-samsung-qe55q65-d5699458.htm).
