The update has already been installed. I reset the tv last night and Iplayer is still not working. I won't be able to supply you with the software version until later but I set the tv to automatically update
I have model UE48H5500AKXXU and have the same software message yesterday and have no iplayer loading. I checked the software update and my tv had the updated 2009 version so no joy. I did the obvious and switched off at the plug and reset....no joy. I rang support yesterday and a helpful chap got in to my tv and was able to get iplayer working again but did hint there may still be a problem so I kept the reference.
Today I am back to Iplayer not loading and the same software update message as yesterday. I held on for support for about an hour. I again had the assistant check my tv and all the updates were there and they were not able to get iplayer going.
My case has been referred to a Product Specialist as my tv should support i player and the assistant was not able to find a solution. The assistant could not give any timescale as to when any help could be given. I asked for confirmation as to whether BBC iplayed is still supported on my tv and they confirmed it is. I would rather know if it is not so I will not be left hanging and waiting in a black hole.
Sorry I cannot give a more positive reply but it may still be worth you contacting support and any fix may work better for your tv than it did for mine. Be prepared for a long wait though.
