Watch 4 set up google account error

I am trying to set up a watch 4 on my mum's S21 FE, for some reason after selecting her google account that she is already signed into on her phone, the wearable app then opens google play services and prompts her to log into a google account again. An error then occurs saying 'this account already exists on your device'.

I have tried clearing google play services data and cache, and uninstalling and reinstalling the wearable app to begin the set up again, but the same problem is happening.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

@Ksmy89: With the Watch4 connected to the S21 FE via the Wearable app, please use the Watch itself to head to Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts, and you can copy the Google account that's registered to the phone to your watch.

Alternatively, using the Wearable app on the phone itself, please head to Watch settings > Accounts and backup > Google account > Add Google account, then follow the on-screen prompts to copy the Google account from your smartphone to your Watch.

The problem was during the set up process with the wearable app, so.I wasnt able to adjust any settings.

I had to skip adding the google account during this process to be able to complete the setup and avoid the continuous loop of being asked to add a google account when I already had done.

Having exact same problem I've given up trying. I have no idea what to do with it. It won't let me even skip passed the Google account prompt. I even tried making up a new Google account but got the same error

I had to force close the wearable app, as trying to go back just kept looping. Then start the set up again, and on the screen where it prompts you to enter a google account, in the bottom corner there was a skip button. Once set up, I could then add the google account in the wearable app settings.

I had exactly the same problem.  Spoke to Samsung support. Uninstall wearables app and downIoad again, then did a software factory reset (hold the power and volume down button together for 15 seconds. Pair tge phone to watch again and it seemed to work.

I have just had an identical problem and it could not be solved by uninstalling and factory resetting etc so I called Samsung support who struggled to deal with it until a solution was found ... All google accounts were removed from my phone and then the process was started again and it worked 🙂  Hope this advice helps someone else ... Good luck all!!!
