Hi all,

Anybody know if there is a sensible reason why my watch 5 keeps nagging me about an update but then the Wearable app refuses to copy the update to the phone. Slightly irritating.

Thanks all 🙂

Same issue here.

Solved turning off the Bluetooth connection from the watch and starting the update process again from watch settings using a WiFi connection

It works smoothly till completed.

Hi Alsy a quick fix iv done on past issues is to find the wearable app in the apps menu under the settings clear the storage and cache then uninstall it then re download it. This has fixed this in the past. Let me know if this works for you.

@ALSY: Please ensure that your Watch5 is connected to the Galaxy Wearable on your mobile device, and that the Wearable app is on the latest version via the Google Play Store > Tap your profile in the top right > Manage apps and device > Updates > Galaxy Wearable.

Now, open the Galaxy Wearable app and head to Watch settings > Watch software update, to check for any available updates. If the issue persists, please can you confirm if you're seeing any error messages or notifications when you attempt to download and install the update?

HI, running latest version, yep connected. No error message, except "Couldn't update, try later."

I've tried clearing the cache, it makes no difference. Reluctant to uninstall and re-install. To be honest, if it's a bad update I probably don't want it anywhere near the watch anyway.

I would still recommend all my steps, the only thing I can think of is maybe the watch storage may not be enough for the update which can cause updates to fail.

Have you found a resolution to your issue ? Having the exact same issue with a reconditionned Galaxy Pro 5 bought a month ago, it's getting very irritating.

EDIT: I try to unsinstall and reinstall the wear os app and now it is demanding that I reset the watch because it claims it is connecting to a new phone. I did not set out to update the watch to end up resetting it, that was not the deal, how is it that updates are so tedious and lead to doomed conclusions ?
I would very much like a way out that does not go with reseting the watch, I feel inches away of sending back the watch !

I just bought a Pro 5 and experienced the problem with updates not copying to watch.

That was until I realised that 'something' had removed my phone wifi connections and scanning found none.

So, the copying was being attempted via mobile data and in my case failed each time.

Restarting my phone restored the wifi connections and copying to the watch was quite quick.

Hope my experience helps others.
