Hi developers,
My galaxy watch active 2 (46) is really good.
The main issue is that when Samsung Health send my data to Strava, the global running time isn't correct anymore.
My last run of today : Samsung Health 30min40 and Strava says 25min44. Any idea why there is a difference in the time ?
For me clearly Samsung Health is right and data get wrong when going to Strava.
Thanks in advance for your support

My issue is distance measured. MY partner and I do a lot of hill walking. I use Samsung active watch 2 to measure the distance and she uses Strava on her apple phone. Saturdays walk, i measured 6.5 miles, her strava measured 9.7 miles. This is quite a big difference. I measured it roughly on the map and came to 6.05 miles. Does anyone know why there is such a discrepancy?

Hello, this is not normal. With the WA2, I get 0.2km more on Strava than on Samsung Health on a total of 8km. What do you have on Samsung Health ? Do you use also Strava directly on the watch or do you use Samsung Health (which is better) and then sync it to Strava via your phone ? The latest is the issue, there are no reason why a certain distance on Samsung Health does change when you sync with Strava.
See you. Sam

I started looking into this with the issue listed below. Basically what I've found is strava takes the Samsung data and ignores most of it. Issue isn't at Samsung side. You can read more on the strava reddit.
I'm using wahoo cadence, speed and hr sensors with Samsung health app running on phone while I ride my bike. No watch. When the data gets to strava they reduce my elevation gain by more than half sometimes because they completely ignore the data being sent by Samsung.

I have written off Samsung Watch a long time ago. I'm not aware of current status of this issue. Even if it's not up to Samsung, it's up to Samsung to resolve this issue with Strava.
I have never used S-Health. Instead, I used Gear Tracker. This is an excellent running app. In the end I gave up with Samsung because of the extremely poor GPS accuracy. I bought a Garmin watch and sold my Samsung watch.

Strava is doing this to data from everywhere they get it because they think their methods are better. Nothing Samsung can do. That's why I mentioned the strava reddit. Ppl using all kinds of devices have been complaining for years to strava.

Samsung is offering a Strava service within Samsung-Health. Offering this service, Samsung is 100% responsible that it works 100% correctly! If Samsung is not capable to comply to Strava methods, the simplest thing they can do is withdraw the Strava connection service and communicate that Samsung is not compatible with Strava.

2023 and I still have the same problem

I still have the same problem it seems bot apps does not transfer the GPS coordinates correctly. Here are some screenshots with a Garmin Forerunner 210 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. I guess the difference is not that drastic than OP but still concerning. I had the Galaxy Watch5 Pro on the left arm and the Garmin on the right arm if that does make a difference. The Watch5 Pro has the latest GPS tech and the Garmin has only GPS and Glonass.Garmin on the left and Strava right synced from S Health
S Health from Pixel 7

Don't bother , it is banging your head against a brick wall with both samsung and strava
just use the app "Health Sync" it will then upload to strava correctly

I have read all 30 pages and had the problem also with my Samsung Watch Active 2. I just recently bought the Samsung Watch 4 and realised this problem is still going on! How is this even possible after having this problem for over 3 years?
Has anyone found a solution yet? As it won't come from the Samsung developers themselves...
