Ok, worked it out and fixed Watchmaker and gestures - for my issue anyway - my watchface had a moving gyro on the background to make it look reflective in the light using this script "10+({sgx}+{sgy}+{sgz})*10" on the rotation field, which was obviously interfering with the gestures.
Removed the script as it's no big deal for me and the effect is quite subtle, so now I'm satisfied that I've got my watchmaker watchface AND my Quick Launch Gesture now works (I use it to open WhatsApp)
