So for some reason, the WhatApp notification on my watch is silent. but only for ONE CONTACT!!.

All my other whatsapp messages alert on my watch, with both the orange dot and a vibration. But whatsapp messages from just one of my contacts is muted, and only shows the orange dot.

Anyone had this?

Have a look at that particular contact in the WhatsApp app on your phone. Compare it to other contacts that you do receive notifications for. I suspect you've accidentally set MUTE NOTIFICATIONS for that one contact.
