Galaxy Watch 7 - Issue with notification sounds

Good afternoon, all.

I am having a slight issue with the sound notifications on my Galaxy Watch 7. I want to set both Messages and WhatsApp to specific sounds so I can differentiate between standard and message notifications; however, when I try to select a different sound, it still plays the default notification sound. I have installed both the Messages and WhatsApp companion apps on my watch, too.

Any help is appreciated.

@ItsBaldDave_: Sadly it is not possible to assign bespoke notification sounds on the Galaxy Watch7. If you are using your Watch7 in range of your connected smartphone, and if it is a Galaxy device, then please try the following steps as a possible workaround.

1. On your Watch7, head to Settings > Notifications > Show phone notifications on Watch > Show alerts even when phone in use.

2. On your phone, head to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp (as an example) > Notifications > Notification categories > Message notifications > Sound, and assign a unique notification sound.

Now, when you receive new WhatsApp messages, the unique sound should alert you to the specific app, and you can check your Watch7 to read the new message.

Thanks. I am able to set a specific sound, but when messages come through, it's still the default sound.
