Customer service should be aware of this problem and solving the problem themselves instead of sending you to the forums.
However, @NSR500 is right, there was an update that bricked the watch. You will need to take to a service centre for it to be repaired.

Mine is working fine but I did notice it went through the "turning cogs" bit for quite some time while it was updating.

There was a fix already, but there could be cases where the faulty firmware was downloaded before it was removed and the fix released.
