I received the Watch4 as a 2024 Christmas gift. After turning off/not using many features and using a very simple watch face, the battery life is still terrible. I have to charge the battery atleast daily - if not multiple times per day.  The software was updated as soon as I activated the watch so it should be on the current version.  I'm ready to ditch it and go back to my vivofit. Any thoughts? Samsung any feedback???

I had the watch 4 and was charging it up once a day its normal, the extra battery loss could be based on how any notifications you have if you have AOD on and other things such as stress constant measuring and heart rate. Best advice I can give would be to give it a factory restore and try again. However the battery In the 4 is very small. The 7 has a much larger battery and lets you do almost anything you want however with a full day or use my watch 7 is currently sat on 63% at the time of writing this to you. I will still be charging it when I go to bed. Speaking of bed if you using it to monitor your sleep and continue using it through the day this could also be zapping your battery life. Let me know if you need any more help with it.

Hello and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section @Sknahrwold   👋

You could try clearing the cache of your watch.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/1bo0nq2/reminder_to_wipe_cache_after_updating.

Also please be aware it can take a few charge and recharge cycles for the battery to reach optimum output.

The watch may take a week or so to learn your usage habits known as the Learning phase.

Ultimately you could reset the watch to see if that helps.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
