Galaxy watch 4 Classic GPS broken after software update

After updating to the latest watch firmware last night, today when I went for a run it did not track the route. After further investigation, it seems that GPS is now not working at all on my watch. I think this must be due to the software update as it tracked my run perfectly on Tuesday. Is this a common problem?

I have the same problem for almost half a year. Tried update, hard reset, different apps, everything is working except gps. It cannot simply lock. No location tracking, no VO2max. I am sure it is a bug. Planning to swith to apple watch if this issue is not solved with the next update. It is so annoying that Samsung does not care about loyal customers. 😞

I also have the same problem for half a year now. Probably a lot more devices have this issue and they have not noticed it yet. It is shameful that Samsung is not acknowledging this!

Just to update. I sent mine to repair service as it was the last day before my waranty expires. They changed motherboard and battery and gps is working again.
