I've got my Buds Pro about 3 weeks ago, as part of the promo, and love them but I've noticed for the maybe last ten days both my ear canals feel scabby and in the morning it feels like there's some liqiuidy discharge. There is also some redness inside of both of my ears. Don't wear them more than an hour a day. Could it be that the buds are creating some kind allergic reaction?

There's a few problems you can get with wearing any earbuds:

You can get chafing if buds are new and skin becomes sensitive.

You can also get a mild reaction to silicone as in an allergy.

Or you can end up with candida fungal infection easily if your ears cant breathe.

I suffer from all of these. I would take off the silicone part and wash in warm water, then rinse with cold and dry thoroughly in case there is any factory lubricant coating on them. If you have a silicone allergy you might have to try and find some non rubber tips.

If you think it might be candida, unlikely with 1 hr wear, you can get over the counter creams and put them on your ear outside only at night. And keep the tips clean.

Chafing from them being stiff and new is probably your problem. Maybe you need to change to a smaller tips for a better fit. Mine improves over time though with wear. Tips get softer, the ear adapts and isn't quite as sensitive but to begin with but its important to not over wear them to the point of skin breaking..

I tried with different silicon tips but they didn't help still the had allergic reaction after 20min wear time. Then it takes approx 48hrs to clear

I have had the same problem this year, doing some searches, it may be an allergy to Nickel used in the Samsung Earphones, can Samsung confirm?  And if this is the case, would Samsung rule out using Nickel in these devices in future?

It is my first time typing here as I am having an allergic reaction (burning and itching sensation) to the buds pro but it is not a hygiene problem. Not getting the same issue on any other buds on extended use. Can you please suggest the ear tips that fit. I have not been able to get something that fits. Incase links are not allowed to be posted here, please drop me an email  :  **. Thanks in advance.

I also feel that the nickel in the connector pins are probably the issue and not the ear tips as I have nickel allergy

@gogettervj Hi! I just wanted to let you know I've edited your message to remove any personal details. As for the ear tips, if you reach out to our team on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, they'd be more than happy to help!

If you do believe it is an allergic reaction, I'd recommend speaking with a medical professional!

I have the exact same problem only it seems much more extreme.  My allergic reaction is so severe that, at this point liquid is always leaking from my ears, and the doctor has prescribed penicillin and a cream to try and cure the problem that has been ongoing now for the last 6 months.  I can no longer use the buds.

Hi Paul I have sent a private message to the Sam_UK as I am also suffering from an allergic reaction like many others.

How long can I expect to wait before someone replies to me?

Thank you
