This is in the labs section I believe which is experimental.
This can be a hit and miss way of turning the sound up and down. You have to be pretty accurate with double tapping on the inner edge of the earbud next to the earlobe.
I've found that sometimes actually tapping that part of the ear, or top of the ear ,or bottom of my cheek / hawline can work too.
If nothing is working it's then either that the earbud isn't seated correctly so try adjusting it in your ear ,and or turn the feature Off and then back On in the labs section @Abhi1111
In the end I personally chose the long hold on left and right earbud to change the volume as this js much more consistent.
