I saw I had 10,000 steps today which seemed unlikely, so I was just watching my watch, when I saw the step count jumping up every few seconds.  Sometimes just a few steps, sometimes 10.... but constantly counting....

I was unable to find anything recent on why this might be.  Any ideas?

Does your mobile device have the latest version of the Galaxy Wearable app (this may be named 'Samsung Gear') installed on it? App updates are released by Samsung and often solve a range of software issues. If it does, you will need to reset your watch. Backup any important data stored on the smartwatch as a factory data reset means that you will lose all data stored on the memory. To back up your smart watch, using your mobile device:

From the Galaxy Wearable app, select About watch. The app may appear as Samsung Gear > Back up and restore > Backup settings. These steps may differ depending on your device. If you have the Reactivation lock enabled, disable it before resetting your smartwatch. To enable or disable the reactivation lock:

On your connected device, open the Galaxy Wearable app > SETTINGS > Find My Watch > SET SECURITY > If you can't see SET SECURITY, you may need to select turn on Remote connection first > Reactivation lock > Select the switch to enable or disable the lock > Enter the password for your Samsung account, and select CONFIRM.

Once you are happy that your information is backed up, perform a factory data reset.
To reset your watch:

From the apps screen, select Settings > General > Reset > Select the tick.

If you are still having issues, this would need to be inspected by an engineer.

I think a factory reset has helped, but not had time to check it properly.  Will do so this week.

Thanks.
