Buds Pro notifications

I have recently bought the buds Pro and cannot get notification read, all the read notifications buttons are turned on but still nothing.  What haven't I done?

@ChrisB1066: Apologies if you have already attempted this, however the Read Notifications Aloud feature can be activated via the Wearables app on your connected phone. Open the Wearables app > Read Notifications Aloud > See All > Tap the drop down arrow > All. Select 'Read Aloud While Using Phone' and select the apps you want to receive notifications from via 'App Notifications To Read Aloud'.

Thanks for the help Andrew, unfortunately that is what I have done, this is my second pair of buds, worked on the first, I get the ping sound but nothing else. It is probably user error just don't know what
