I am having this issue too!!! I have a Samsung A54 and a garmin vivomove Sport. Everything was working fine, then out of nowhere my Garmin stops connecting to my phone GPS barely 0.1 miles in. I have spent 2 weeks working on it with tech support for Garmin, even software developers got involved. They could not figure it out, so I now think it is an issue on the Samsung side.

Grazie

I got a connectivity issue and I finally solved it. Maybe you can benifit from it as well so I share.
..and maybe there is a better way, but here is basically what I did:
1. Disconnect the Garmin device (in my case Forerunner 245 Music) via the Garmin Connect App.
2. I figured out the Bluetooth address of the Garmin device (I found it via my old Android phone Bluetooth settings.) Should be similar to 45:86:7D:24:2F:83.
3. Enabled the Bluetooth setting to see BT devices without names, via Android Developer settings (this is not activated as standard).
4. Pair the Garmin device with Samsung A54 via the basic Android settings (not the Connect app). When the same BT address appears.
5. Enter the PIN number from the Garmin device as the PIN in Samsung Bluetooth Pairing process.
6. Go in to Connect app and Add the Garmin device as you usually do. And follow the Garmin Connect instructions via the App.
7. Done!

I'm in an A53 5G. I found that @Bergq's suggestion worked, but the bluetooth adresses part wasn't needed. It was having to directly pair with bluetooth and not via the Connect app is what seems to have 'secured' the bluetooth connection.
This is the longest it's stayed paired in 12 days, but it does still display as 'Not Connected' in the app every now and again which is still frustrating because it used to stay connected all the time Bluetooth was on, but not having the re-pair everyday is a godsend.
It's a bit long, but quite simple.
1. Unpair your watch from Connect and close the app. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Connect. Force Stop the app, tap on Storage and Clear Cache.
2. Remove the watch from your Bluetooth devices list in Settings. This should be under Connections -> Bluetooth -> find your watch in the list, tap the settings for it and Unpair.
3. Turn your watch off and on again and then go to Settings -> Connections -> Phone -> Pair Phone, it will display the QR code, leave this on the screen.
4. On your phone, go to Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> tap Scan.
5. Your watch should appear on the unpaired list, tap it when it does. It'll display the Pin code on your watch and your phone, accept both.
6. Open the connect app and your device should show as paired already without having to go through the Connect App pairing process.
So far so good (18 hours no un-pairing!)
