GW 5 Pro reset every week

Hi guys,

I have this problem with my GW 5 Pro, that the phone/watch start to disconnect from my phone.

They were working fine for couple of months since i bought them (Apr-July 2024). Issues started from August.

I ve already factory rest the watch at least 12 times in last 3 months.

From Apr-July they were working fine, no problems with connectivity. Still using the same phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 pro 5G)

What I tried so far: Factory reset of watch, uninstall/reinstal all gear related apps and services, factory reset of the phone, all updates to both watch and phone

Nothing helps.

After each reset, the watch work normally more or less for a week and then suddenly disconnect from phone. Glaxy wearable says unable to connect to phone and starts initial connecting sequence. Watch says factory reset and repair your watch.

Anybody any suggestions?

Same here- rubbish, isn't it?
I had absolutely zero problems with my gear s3 frontier, running on Tizen, and only swapped to this pile of junk when my new s24 ultra wouldn't work with my old watch. 🤬

Hi folks,

for now it seems I found the problem. I have set phone settings to performance, namely battery a day or so after I wrote this topic.

I was not prompted to reset the watch since, so I assume something in the xiaomi phone battery settings was causing this (previously run on balanced battery mode).

Give it a try, maybe it will help
