I just bought a Frame TV for my new home. I’ve owned other Samsung smart TVs which work without the One connect box. I was shocked to find out that I have to use a big bulky box connected to a TV which is supposed to hang on a wall like a picture. Where am I suppose to put the box???! Is there a class action suit filed for this incredibly stupid design? If not, I’d like to start one.

I’m sorry, but I’ve owned four other Samsung TVs and none of them needed a one-connect box. This is 2025, It never occurred to me that a new “Smart” TV would need an outside box to function, especially one that is supposed to look like a painting hanging on the wall— that’s the whole marketing point. If the other TVs can function without the box, then why put one on a TV made to look like a painting?

Hi,
I also have one (got in 2019) and I got it knowing the existance of the s.c. big box. To me it appears a very good solution to avoid cabling issues going to the TV, but it depends mostly on the location of your device. The One connect is well advertised to solve exactly this. In my case it's the definitive solution to the burden of connections I've, but I've a small closed below the TV to hold either the box and the others (Game console, NAS, Fire Stick)
I wonder you are in a less complicated scenario, sorry for you.

The whole point is so all the things you connect to the tv won't require 10 wires running to the tv. 1 is better than 10. It's not hard to run a wire in a wall. You should have known this before you purchase a $4000 piece of electronics. Personally I'd be grateful if only have to run 1 wire to my tv.
