I have a 7 Series 55 suddenly default to the SamsungTV plus when I turn it on, when I have always had my PC (HDMI port)?
I didn't change anything. I am not hitting the "source" button when I turn it on.
I know I can change it to my PC HDMI port, but I shouldn't have to do that every time now.
Thanks,
Don

The basic solution of toggling the aurtorun options did not work for me so I factory reset the tv. After that the Samsung tv service continued to start at startup but now the app for it, which I had previously removed, was showing again on the Home Screen. I went to remove it (up, up, remove) which produced a screen with not only remove but also the additional option “disable”. Disabling removed the app from the Home Screen and stopped it starting when the tv starts. I figure I had disabled this when I originally bought the tv and the latest update has confused things. Basically if you have previously disabled the app you need to either factory reset and disable again as I did today, or possibly simply re-add it to Home (go left to “sources”, up and add back) and then disable again. Hope this helps somebody.

Thank you!

It doesn’t work for me either.

I gave up and now use a Roku Ultra to control my 55: Samsung qled 4k. Much as I like the picture, the Samsung operating system is third rate. It forgets streaming service passwords constantly, has no 'last channel' button and is slow to switch between streaming services.

Can I get an update on the fix for this? Auto run did not solve it. And this path in settings does not exist on my 2024 frame tv.

Worked perfectly, thanks!

It didn't work for me on either TV. I just have to remember to hit the Home button on the remote as soon as the TV comes on. Very annoying, however.

Sorry it didn't work for you. So annoying, I was doing just that, switching as soon as the TV came on. My TV is really old, so maybe that's why it works for mine. Maybe Samsung figured out how to keep up from using the workaround...😐

this doesn't work on my TV is there some other place where I can default to HDMI 1 on startup of the TV?

this doesn't work for me for HDMI 1 is there something else that needs to be done?
