About 1 month ago I started to experience white spots on the left and right edges of my TV. These have progressively got worse over time to the point where they make the TV unwatchable. This problem seems to be quite common with these models:

Does anyone have a fix outside of getting a screen repaired (which doesn't seem to be possible now)? I'm out of warranty and spent £1800 on this TV only 2 years 5 months ago...
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

The most frustrating thing is the lack of acknowledgement from Samsung Europe. Having looked online, it seems customers in the US are being contacted back on forums such as this, and in some cases having their panels replaced.
Obviously their custom and issues are far more important and worthy of notice than those of us in Europe!!

Actually they said to fix it it would take as a price of new one more than 2000$
so I just buy new LG with no way to go back to Samsung

You did the right thing. I reckon Samsung must have known about these problems a long time ago and have let everybody down. The lesson to learn is not to buy Samsung products of any kind in the future.

So does this problem still happen on LCDs in 2020? Or just Samsung TVs? But what about OLED they get burn in after 5 years usually so what tv is best to get nowadays that will last longer than 5 years? Makes me afraid to spend $2000 on a oled or a QLED Samsung.

Sadly I found no way to fix this, with no help from Samsung. Therefore I have now sold my TV on eBay, as faulty, and have bought an LG C9 OLED.
I am extremely frustrated that I had to do this, and had to fork out again for a new TV. I will never buy Samsung again!
For what it's worth the LG is absolutely wonderful so far, highly recommended.
I appreciate however that no one should have to spend this kind of money again so soon after an initial massive spend that the Samsung was. In my opinion it is a inherent fault with these sets and Samsung should compensate consumers!
