First off, I had auto update disabled because of situations like this, but the TV decided to auto update anyways. After it updated to 1420 I immediately noticed that the colours in my games looked dull, washed out, grey and missing any vibrancy so I played around with my PS5 settings and noticed that if I disable HDR the games look much better in SDR. How did Samsung push out an update like this and is there any word on a fix?
The photos show the difference after update 1420 (no settings in the game or TV were changed whatsoever). Top photo is HDR disabled, bottom photo is HDR enabled.
Here's a link to a prominent youtuber who is having the same issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8QATn4Zssk

Try going to game options and disabling game hdr below the HDR10+ option. That disables HGiG and re-enables the default setting as samsung intended it. HGiG is an option that allows creators set their own hdr luminance and shadows, it's only for games that support it and it's not guaranteed to be the best options because sometimes the creators' wanted options are not the best for your own tv.
The biggest problem for this update is that it broke PC game mode. My computer is not even detecting the TV when game mode is turned on...

It's April 2023, on 1430 update and the issue still remains. HDR in game mode, being HDR10+ or "HGIG" is still broken with extremely low peak brightness. Not a day goes by that I don't regret updating the TV

I have the 75" QN90B. It updated to FW 1448.1 a couple months ago and now my local dimming is broken (It will change from standard to low but I get no high anymore) The TV now always wants to start up on the gaming hub, and the contrast enhancer is washing out the picture. I check the site regularly for a new update but none so far. I'm in the USA if that matters at all.
