HDMI 2.2 was officially announced by the HD Forum Inc , can be deliver up to 96Gbps bandwidth and 16K resolution. It will also support 4k at 480Hz.
Although the Technology will be available later in 2025 it may take manufacturers a bit of time to implement it,the problem is that 8k has not really taken off though Samsung does promote their 8k models quite heavily. 2.2 though will be more a marketing ploy at the moment.

Now we have entered a period when technology is far ahead of reality and is developed for the sake of image. For example, you can create a car that can drive at 300 kilometres per hour, but nobody needs it. It is the same with technology: HDMI 2.2 or Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7, 16K resolution - it is interesting, but nobody needs it because the possibilities it offers are beyond reasonable needs.
