cannot upload or cast Dailymotion

hello to all. I have a Samsung smart tv, UE48J5500

has on Apps, Dailymotion, but when i try to start it, it shows only 3dots, ..., as is trying to open but never loads. I have uninstalled and installed the Dailymotion app, but keeps same problem. Other apps, eg Youtube, work fine.

Also, when trying to cast Dailymotion from my mobile, it responds, 'cannot find device' and no casting. However  I am able to cast with no issue Youtube.

Also trying to find Dailymotion from web browser, it says server not found, while any other search works fine.

Dailymotion works fine on my Samsung galaxy mobile.

What can I do? Help please, thanks in advance

Start a video from your Dailymotion mobile app and click on the Chromecast or Airplay icon to cast on your TV. Download Dailymotion's app on your smart TV to browse and watch your favourite content

thanks for the reply, however, this is the problem, it does not cast from mobile to tv, please read full post, and good to have a solution.

In 2022, Dailymotion announced that starting in 2023, they would gradually stop supporting the app on Samsung TVs. This means the app no longer works on your TV, as support has been discontinued.

Support statement:
"All Dailymotion Smart TV apps are progressively disappearing from the different online stores in 2023: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, LG TV, PlayStation, Samsung TV, Xbox (Windows).

If you already downloaded one of these apps, you can continue using it. However, please be aware that we won't offer any more support nor maintain these products, and that no new download of the app is possible."

Since your TV is from 2015, which makes it quite an old model, you can find information to help determine the manufacturing year of your TV at this link. Additionally, it doesn’t have Chromecast support, as this feature is only available on TVs from 2019 onwards.

Solutions:

1. Use Screen Mirroring
   Your TV supports screen mirroring, which allows you to cast your smartphone screen to the TV. The program that enables this on your smartphone is called Smart View. Your phone will receive the video and transmit it to the TV. This is a low-cost solution but not the most convenient.

2. Buy a Chromecast
   Purchasing a Chromecast, such as this model: Chromecast on Amazon, will upgrade your TV's Smart functionality to 2025 standards.
