UE50F6500 switching off and on

I have had a UE50F 6500 Smart TV from new (4 years old so out of warranty).  It has been great, however it now switches itself off and on. 

If I turn it on in the morning it will go through this cycle probably 6 or 7 times before it stays on.  Later in the day it can turn on and stay on consistanly but at other times it reenters the cycle.

If I remove the power cables for a minute or so the TV will usually turn on and stay on.

It seems to be worse if I have used the Smart Hub feature.

The problem appeared and as suggested I have updated the software successfully to the most upto date version, however the problem has persisted.

I have checked all cables and attached devices with no improvement (including removal).

I have read that it might be a capacitor problem on the power board has anyone got any experience or can offer any help I would be grateful.

Hi

Sounds like an electrical problem in the TV, and can only be fixed by an engineer.  You would need to pursue this under warranty.  Eventually the TV will probably refuse to turn.
