I love Samsung however their support for tvs is confusing I have had 4 different people tell me 4 different things. I had one tech-support person to tell me to plug the TV back in 30 seconds. After I told him my TV caught on fire. They are lucky I didn’t sue. Just want a clear answer. Model number UN49KS8000FXZA

Hi @Stockett119   Concerned you have experienced this. That is  certainly not the right advice!   Hopefully information from the other Technical support advisors  was more appropriate.  The Tv cannot be used and must remain unplugged.

In this community for UK/Ireland users we would request a private Message with details is sent to the Team Moderator Account.  However you have a US model  and would need to seek advice from their Community. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Community/ct-p/us?page=1&tab=recent_topics

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

As JAMES4578 rightly says, definitely not the right advice given by the tech-support people to you there, @Stockett119 .

As we're based in the UK the team here wouldn't have access to Samsung US systems to investigate what you were advised and by whom, but we're happy to see if we can send your case to Samsung US if you want to send us a PM with your contact details to our @Sam_UK  account (https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1716597) Guide on how to send a Private/Direct Message here if you need it: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/samsung-lounge/how-to-send-a-private-message-on-the-samsung-comm...

Hope that it gets resolved properly for you in any case.
