Hi everyone!

We got 2x The Frame 65" 2021 and 2x Xbox Series X.

Two days ago one frame suddenly stopped working with the HDMI "Game Port".

The day after the other one experienced the same and now none of the TV's HDMI "Game Port" works with the Xbox. TV's just displays a "check input power source" message.

Connecting the XBOX to another HDMI-port works fine.

I checked the latest firmware @ Samsung support page and it says 1506 was made available last week, so my hypothesis is that it breaks "HDMI Game-port" functionality when using the xbox series x 4k/120hz.

I've played around with disabling VRR, HDR etc. on the xbox to no avail. Also had Samsung support remove into the TVs and first reset EDID(?) and then full factory reset.

Didn't fix the issue.

Currently using another HDMI for the Xbox but would prefer to get it back into the GAME-port as this supposedly provides a better picture and VRR-support etc.

Anyone got ideas? :smiling-face:

Yeah, already had the file unzipped and tried both the following.
- full folder in route of usb stick

- main file in route of usb stick

still no luck unfortunately.
unsure what I’m doing wrong, might try another usb stick

Is yours a 65" 2021?

The root should contain no other folders or files. Just - one file, and a folder.

Try deleting everything from the stick (format to fat43). Right click on the zip file, extract to: select the root of the usb. When that is completed, remove the stick and insert it in the TV's one connect box, then go to the updates section of the tv.

I think it possibly simply doesnt work with non-USA models. They basically same, but firmware might have specific serial numbers, which if not matched wont update.

Unfortunately did not fix the issue for me. I’m in the US and have the AD model, for what it’s worth.

Nothing in Malaysia yet. T_T

I’m a little bit skeptical on trying another region’s update on my TV. Afraid it might break something. Will wait for an official update (whenever that might be). I’ve already waited a few months, might as well wait for a few more. Haha.

I have to agree, I prefer to check for updates every day for the next few months until Samsung get their A into G and release a fix for my region.

No update in India as well. I regret buying a cheaper TV that would work with Xbox Series X at 4K 120FPS. I should have gone for LG OLED really.

Same issue here, I've contacted Aussie Samsung and have been upgraded to Level 2 support. We'll see how we go.

It's definitely the HDMI4/2.1 port firmware issue.

We'll see how we go.

My new QE75LS03A had the same issue, on the HDMI 4 game port 4k 120hz did not work.  I have to connect my XBOX SERIE X to HDMI port 3 4k@60hz. I have Firmware 1506, no update is available.

Very disappointed...
